School Lunch Ideas and Meal Planner

Hey Amazing Moms!

Are you stuck in a lunch packing rut? Having to pack school lunches everyday can be overwhelming, especially when you’re too tired to care anymore (been there, done that!). What motivates me to keep pushing and packing is the fact that my kids are vegetarian. Their school rarely provides options that are suitable for our diet. Besides diet restrictions, I want the comfort of knowing that my kids are receiving a balanced and healthy meal when they are away from home.

To help prevent lunch packing ruts, I created a simple School Lunch Ideas List and School Lunch Planner. These tools have helped tremendously in providing a variety of lunch options that my children enjoy. The School Lunch Ideas list provides a list of easy and kid friendly main entrees, fruits, veggies, grains, dairy options, and sweet treats. Just pick one option from each section and viola…a perfectly packed school lunch!

I use meal prep containers from Amazon to pack my kids lunch. I also use silicone cupcake liners to break up the larger compartments and to add a pop of color. When I’m serving a hot lunch, I use flat plastic containers and I add the silicon cupcake liners to break it up into multiple sections. The flat plastic containers are small enough to fit in the boys lunch kits with their meal thermoses. You can find affiliate links to all of my favorite lunch packing supplies below.

I’ve also included a video containing a whole months worth of healthy school lunch ideas:

One Month of Vegetarian Kids Lunches

Until next time! From one amazing mother to another,
